Arrest Warrant for Rapper Offset Cancelled Before Florida Casino Incident

An arrest warrant issued for rapper Offset, whose legal name is Kiari Cephus, was rescinded in late February, just weeks before he was shot outside a Florida casino. The warrant stemmed from a failure to appear at an arraignment related to a misdemeanor battery charge.

Court documents reveal that an arrest warrant for the rapper Offset has been recalled approximately three weeks prior to an incident where he sustained a gunshot wound outside a casino in Florida.

The legal document, filed in late January, was issued for Kiari Cephus, known professionally as Offset, after he did not appear for a scheduled arraignment in Los Angeles. However, a judge subsequently cancelled the warrant on February 26th after the artist presented himself in court with his legal representation and entered a plea of not guilty.

This legal matter concerns a charge of simple battery, a misdemeanor, allegedly occurring in March 2025 at a cannabis dispensary located in Los Angeles. The initial warrant had set a bail amount of $20,000.

Following the resolution of this court proceeding, Offset was reportedly involved in a separate shooting incident earlier this week. The event took place outside the Hard Rock casino in Florida, and the rapper was hospitalized before his subsequent release.
