Portuguese football star, Bernardo Silva, is reportedly planning to exit Manchester City as a free agent at the end of the current season, with Juventus and Barcelona being the primary clubs vying for his signature.
Prominent journalist Fabrizio Romano has stated that Silva has decided against signing a new contract, which will conclude on June 30.
With his 32nd birthday coming up in August, Silva remains in excellent physical condition and is expected to continue playing at a high level for several more years.
The attacking midfielder has received a variety of offers from clubs throughout Europe, as well as from teams in Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer. Nevertheless, he is taking a measured approach in considering his next move, choosing to concentrate on Manchester City's campaign before deciding on his future plans after the season wraps up.
Silva joined Manchester City from Monaco back in 2017 for a fee of €50 million. Since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium, he has made 449 appearances, scoring 76 goals and providing 77 assists. During his time with the club, he has collected 16 trophies, including six Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League title.
Looking ahead, FC Barcelona appears to be Silva's favored destination. His agent, Jorge Mendes, is actively pursuing offers across Europe, with Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and SSC Napoli also keeping tabs on his situation.
