Family and friends are mourning the death of businessman David Dahbille Ndevino, who was allegedly killed by unknown assailants in Adamawa State.

Reports indicate that David was brutally beaten to death on Monday, February 16, 2026.

One eyewitness, Nestor Dahni, shared that the victim was returning home after buying supplies for his shop in Numan when the attack occurred.

Additionally, a motorcyclist whom he had engaged to assist in transporting goods was also attacked and remains unconscious.

"This man (Hon. David) visited Numan yesterday to purchase items for his provision shop. His own motorcycle (Bajaj) could not accommodate all the purchases, so he hired another bike rider to help carry some of the goods," he detailed.

"As night approached, they opted for a shortcut from Numan to Bille via Kona village.

"Sadly, they did not reach Bille. They fell victim to an assault and were severely beaten. The other rider survived but is still in an unconscious state.

"We urge the government and security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into this murder.

"This was not a robbery; none of his possessions, including the motorcycles, were taken.

"We need to uncover the identity of those responsible for this murder and their motivations. Although he is gone, we deserve clarity on the reasons behind it. Honorable David, may your soul rest in peace."
