Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has officially stated that the price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), widely known as petrol, has not changed. This announcement aims to quell concerns about potential price fluctuations within Nigeria's downstream oil sector.
A representative from the refinery confirmed that the current pricing remains in effect, with the gantry price set at N1,200 per litre and the coastal price at N1,153 per litre.
"We are upholding our established price and have not introduced any new pricing for our clientele," the source stated.
This clarification arrives at a time when rumours of possible fuel price adjustments have been circulating, causing apprehension among consumers and players in the industry.
The source further emphasised the refinery's dedication to ensuring a steady provision of refined petroleum products, not only for the Nigerian market but also for other nations across Africa.
According to the source, the company's primary objective is to maintain product availability and foster market stability, underscoring its crucial role in the region's energy supply framework.
