On Sunday, Manchester United came from behind to secure a 2–1 win against ten- man Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

The Red Devils found themselves trailing early in the match but surged back in the second half, maintaining their unbeaten streak under interim manager Michael Carrick. Bruno Fernandes scored an equalizer, followed by Benjamin Sesko's decisive goal.

United struggled initially, conceding in the fourth minute when Maxence Lacroix headed in a cross, giving Crystal Palace the lead.

Palace, who had previously beaten United in their last two encounters at Old Trafford, looked to have been handed a penalty following a foul on Matheus Cunha, but the referee's decision came after a VAR review confirmed the contact.

Fernandes converted the resulting penalty in the 57th minute, later assisting Sesko, who scored the winner just eight minutes after equalizing. Sesko has now netted in three consecutive matches, tallying seven goals in his last eight appearances for United.

Despite the victory, United could have claimed a larger margin but were thwarted by former player Dean Henderson, who made excellent saves from shots by Casemiro and Amad Diallo.

This triumph marked United's sixth victory in seven matches under Carrick, elevating them to third place in the league, with 51 points from 28 matches, surpassing Aston Villa on goal difference. This is the first occasion the team has reached the top three of the league since 2023.
