Delegates traveling from Sabuwa Local Government Area in Katsina State to the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-West Zonal Congress were involved in a serious road accident.
The crash led to the unfortunate death of one delegate, identified as Dalhat Machika.
Among those hurt in the incident were the former Deputy Governor, Hon. Sirajo Umar Damari, along with the APC Chairman for Sabuwa Local Government.
According to a statement issued by Malam Ibrahim Kaula, who serves as the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, the injured individuals are currently receiving care at the Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital located in Tudun Wada, Kaduna.
The statement further revealed that following the APC North-West Zonal Congress, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda paid a visit to the hospital to check on the victims.
During his visit, the Governor expressed his condolences to the victims and their families, offering prayers for their quick recovery and guaranteed government support throughout this challenging period.
Accompanying the Governor were Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari, the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, and several other high-ranking officials.
