Federal Government Tackles Gas Supply Issues Affecting Power Supply

The Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, has revealed that the Federal Government is actively working to combat the persistent gas supply issues that have hindered electricity production.

He made this statement on Thursday as part of his Eid-el-Fitr message distributed by Mr. Bolaji Tunji, his Special Adviser on Strategic Communication and Media Relations.

Adelabu expressed confidence that the steps being taken are already beginning to show gradual improvements and he anticipates that these efforts will substantially enhance power supply soon.

"Concrete measures are being implemented to ensure more reliable and sustainable electricity for homes, businesses, and industries," he stated.

The minister noted that the reforms initiated by President Bola Tinubu are starting to take effect, promising that Nigerians will soon experience the full advantages of these changes.

Highlighting the importance of public trust and cooperation for the success of the administration's reform agenda, he stated that the president is focusing on repositioning Nigeria internationally to attract investment and promote development.

Adelabu remarked, "As we celebrate, we take pride in the progress made under the President's leadership, particularly his recent engagements with the United Kingdom, which hold promise for significant investment opportunities, enhanced bilateral relations, and economic collaboration."

He emphasized that these achievements reflect a new trajectory for the nation, urging all Nigerians to continue supporting these initiatives to secure collective benefits.

Additionally, the minister encouraged Nigerians to carry the spirit of sacrifice shown during the 30 days of Ramadan into ongoing commitment toward national growth.

He stressed that unity, discipline, and selflessness are crucial to unlocking the country's immense potential.

"Through sustained personal and national sacrifices, the ambitious goals of President Tinubu’s administration will increasingly translate into real progress across vital sectors of the economy," he added.

"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Nigerians, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters, on this significant occasion," Adelabu concluded.

"The past month has been a time for spiritual renewal, self-denial, and recommitment to faith and morality. As we have sought individual growth, it is essential that we also apply that same spirit of sacrifice towards our nation's progress. The challenges we face today are, undoubtedly, the foundation for a thriving future," he emphasized.
