A tragic incident unfolded at a wedding ceremony in Tulmi, located within the Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. This disturbing news was revealed on X by security analyst Zangozola Makama on February 3.
According to the report, the clash erupted around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, during a send-off celebration organized by Godiya Mai Rai. A group of men from Garin Ardo Usman village, identified as Wada Hussaini, Ganji Alhaji Idi, Yaya Hussaini, Mohammed Maikudi, Bello Alhaji Idi, and Tijjani, confronted Abubakar Usman, 35, and Bello Adamu, 19.
The conflict tragically led to the death of Abubakar Usman, while both Bello Adamu and Wada Hussaini sustained injuries. The injured individuals were promptly taken to Cottage Hospital Tulmi for medical attention, and Abubakar Usman's remains were transferred to the hospital mortuary.
Authorities reported that the suspects fled the scene following the altercation, and ongoing efforts are being made to apprehend them. An investigation into the incident has also been initiated.
