A woman has detailed how certain online interactions, particularly through Instagram, have resulted in unexpected financial benefits from male admirers. In a video shared online, she explained that while some men on the platform initiate conversations with compliments, these can quickly lead to financial transactions.
She disclosed that on one occasion, a conversation resulted in her receiving as much as N200,000. The interaction reportedly began with a compliment on her appearance, and after her positive response, the man directly asked for her bank account details.
According to her account, this specific exchange led to a N50,000 transfer. In another instance, a different individual offered financial support for her phone repair, sending approximately N150,000 after she mentioned a damaged phone screen. She also noted that this individual communicated directly with the phone technician to facilitate the repair.
The lady indicated that the amounts received from such interactions typically range between N30,000 and N200,000, depending on the nature of the conversation.
Comparing different social media platforms, she observed that although TikTok offers numerous requests for interaction, she has rarely experienced similar financial generosity from users on that platform. She characterized individuals on TikTok as being "broke."
