Newly revealed emails indicate that Nina Keita, a prominent figure and niece of the Ivorian President, played a role as a middleman for convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein by connecting him with powerful political figures and young women.

Nina Keita, whose uncle Alassane Ouattara has been at the helm of the Ivory Coast since 2010, was named in a vast trove of three million documents released on January 30 by the United States Department of Justice.

Reports specify that Keita initiated correspondence with Epstein back in 2011.

At that time, she was a model who had previously worked in France, before returning to Côte d'Ivoire to take on a significant position at the state-run oil storage company Gestoci. She is now married to Adam Kamara, the country's Minister of Employment.

The emails suggest that Keita visited Epstein in New York, traveled on his private aircraft, and arranged for him to visit Abidjan, where he was planned to meet the president and other high-ranking officials to discuss investment opportunities.

However, the nature of their correspondence soon took a more troubling direction, as noted by The Times.

In May 2011, Keita offered to introduce Epstein to one of her friends in Paris. Epstein responded with inquiries about her age and expressed interest in other acquaintances as well.

Keita replied, stating her friend was 25 years old, and noted that she had several friends in Paris who would also be willing to meet Epstein.

Later, following an alleged meeting at the Ritz in Paris, Epstein requested pictures of a friend’s younger sister, specifying a preference for those under 25. When no photos were sent, Keita took it upon herself to forward images.

In the same year, Epstein hinted at selling his Boeing 727, allegedly known as the Lolita Express, noting to Keita that he had heard her uncle was attempting to charter the aircraft, and suggested he should consider buying it instead. There is no record of a sale occurring.

In January 2012, Keita organized a busy schedule in Abidjan that included meetings with the president, the ministers of economy and interior, and other senior officials, including the late Amadou Gon Coulibaly, who eventually became prime minister.

Leading up to one of these meetings, she inquired about Epstein's 'maximum bed time' and mentioned a late-night engagement planned by a mutual acquaintance, indicating her familiarity with arrangements that could extend well into the night.

Additionally, Keita seemed to be involved in efforts to assist Karim Wade, son of the former president of Senegal, Abdoulaye Wade. Following Wade’s 2015 incarceration for corruption, she sought financial aid from Epstein to employ U.S. lobbyists on his behalf.

In her communications, she emphasized Wade's urgent need for assistance, highlighting that many of his friends had distanced themselves from him, leaving him with minimal support.

Emails show that Epstein transferred $100,000 to assist Wade, and after his release the following year, Keita expressed her gratitude for Epstein’s support.

This development comes as over 18,000 images and 2,000 videos relating to Epstein were made public through the U.S. Department of Justice, part of a larger release of more than three million documents concerning the late financier's actions.
