Katsina Remains Firmly Attached to APC, Declares Radda as Gambo Takes Over as State Chairman

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has reiterated that the region remains a loyal base for the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the successful completion of its ward, local government, and state congresses.

He made this declaration during a State Congress held in Katsina, which saw representatives from all 361 wards across the 34 Local Government Areas converge.

The congress led to the formation of a new State Executive Committee through a consensus arrangement supported by stakeholders.

While addressing the attendees, Governor Radda commended the orderly conduct of the event, referring to it as a testament to the maturity and discipline embedded within the APC in Katsina State.

Radda noted, "This process demonstrates that Katsina APC remains united, organized, and committed to democratic principles." He praised the Local Organising Committee for its effective coordination throughout the congress process, ensuring transparency and credibility.

The governor also congratulated the newly elected officials, highlighting their responsibility to serve the party and the people of Katsina State well. He emphasized that Katsina State is undeniably an APC state, expecting the new leadership to uphold the party's achievements, foster unity, and strengthen political frameworks at all levels.

He pledged his complete support to the new executive as the party leader in the region, vowing that his administration would collaborate closely with party organs to ensure continuous progress.

Further affirming their dedication, Radda praised the work done by the Electoral Committee from the National Headquarters, as well as the Screening and Appeal Committees and security forces, for their professionalism during the congress.

Radda reinforced the commitment of Katsina State to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government, stating they would continue to back policies aimed at strengthening national development.

He expressed gratitude to party stakeholders, elders, and delegates from the 361 wards and 34 Local Government Areas for their disciplined participation, calling the congress a significant display of APC unity in Katsina.

Earlier, Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi, the former Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, confirmed that all election procedures adhered strictly to the Electoral Act and party constitution, including consultations and submission of required materials from Abuja.

In addressing the attendees, the newly elected State Chairman, Bishir Gambo, stated, "It is an honor not just for me but for all members of the State Executive Committee. We assure you that we will work in the best interest of the party, the state, and Nigeria." He assured that the new executive would practice transparency, inclusiveness, and discipline while promoting unity across the wards and local government areas.

The newly constituted Katsina APC Executive Council includes: Bishir Gambo Saulawa as Chairman, with Bala Abu Musawa as Deputy Chairman. Key positions include Hon Adnan Nahabu as Secretary, Ahmad Hassan Mashi as Organising Secretary, and Abubakar Abdullahi as Assistant Organising Secretary, among others responsible for various functions within the party structure.
