Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, has reportedly directed an immediate inquiry into the matter. Initial findings from the investigation are said to have pinpointed the school featured in the viral footage to the Ojo Local Government Area of the state.

Further details from the Ministry indicate that steps are being taken to address both the school involved and the publisher of the textbook. The statement underscored the government's commitment to ensuring that only approved, age-appropriate, and morally sound educational content is utilised in schools across Lagos.

This situation emerged after a concerned mother publicly shared her apprehension regarding a disturbing passage found in her child's textbook. She later claimed to have faced threats following the online dissemination of the video highlighting the issue.
