The Lakowe Lakes Golf Club in Lagos is preparing to host a significant event for the Sunshine Development Tour Qualifying School, scheduled for April.
The tournament is set to take place from April 13 to 15, bringing together elite professional golfers from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Senegal, and Gabon.
Competitors who shine during the qualifying rounds will secure their positions in the prestigious Sunshine Tour that spans southern and eastern Africa.
Femi Olagbenro, the Golf Manager at Lakowe Lakes, emphasized the club’s commitment to enhancing standards and increasing competition opportunities for both new and seasoned golfers.

This 54-hole competition is poised to be a pivotal milestone for golf enhancement in Nigeria and the West African region, attracting greater international interest and fostering development programs.
Beyond providing a pathway to the main Sunshine Tour in the upcoming season, participants will also have the chance to earn points toward the Official World Golf Ranking.
Registration is already active, with entries flowing in from West and Central Africa as the host club prepares to ensure that the course is in prime condition for the three-day event.
