A woman aged 29, named Comfort Hajia Anura, lost her life following an alleged assault by a man identified as mentally ill in Benue State.

The occurrence was confirmed by a Facebook user, Ado Benjamin, who reported that the suspect attacked Comfort using a large stick in Naka, located in the Gwer-West Local Government Area of Benue.

According to his post on March 3, 2026, the attacker was killed at the location of the incident.

This tragic event transpired in January 2026.

Plans are in place for the deceased to be interred on March 7 in her native village, Tse-Ashwe, Mbabija, within the Gwer-West LGA.
