Leaders of the Miyetti Allah group in Kwara State, including President Idris Abubakar, have been apprehended for their alleged participation in the financing of armed banditry and kidnapping activities, according to reports from the Nation.
Authorities have uncovered evidence suggesting that the Miyetti Allah leader confessed to supporting several kidnappings associated with bandit groups.
A source within security agencies remarked, 'These are individuals over 60 years old, who should embody peace but are now implicated in acts of terror and violence.'
Furthermore, the case is perceived as indicative of significant ethical lapses on the part of certain leaders, highlighting the need for accountability on legal grounds rather than attributing the actions to the entire community.
