MTN Nigeria has invested N32.3 billion through its foundation over the span of 21 years, focusing on promoting national development.
In a recent announcement, the company reported a 55.1% rise in service revenue, amounting to N5.2 trillion, according to the audited financial results for 2025.
The company credited its profitability to the driving force behind its unmatched socio-economic contributions to the nation.
As financial analysts commend the company for achieving an EBITDA increase of 108.9% to reach N2.7 trillion, the benefits of this growth are notably felt in Nigeria’s healthcare sector.
MTN spotlighted its achievements in 2025, revealing that the foundation provided N139 million worth of medication to 49 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the country.
“This essential intervention facilitated a total of 448,278 patient visits and contributed to 12,426 safe deliveries, demonstrating how the company's successes directly save lives at the grassroots,” the statement indicated.
Additionally, the foundation awarded scholarships to 1,026 undergraduate students, focusing on those studying in STEM disciplines and supporting visually impaired individuals.
The foundation also emphasized that it granted 81 music scholarships, each valued at over N900,000, aimed at fostering local talent.
“Since its establishment, the MTN Foundation has committed a total of N32.3 billion across 3,604 communities within 590 Local Government Areas, positively impacting the lives of over 32.1 million people,” the announcement further detailed.
The company's CEO, Karl Toriola, remarked that the year 2025 signified an important milestone with a return to profitability and the recovery of positive retained earnings.
