The newly appointed police commissioner for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, expressed his commitment to curbing crime in the region, stating that his professional experiences have shown that criminal activities do not thrive under his administration.

During a press conference held at the command in Abuja on Wednesday, CP Sanusi declared that he will ensure a significant reduction in crime throughout the FCT during his tenure.

"We will leave no stone unturned in identifying, pursuing, and eliminating criminal elements from the FCT. My goal is not just to react to crimes but to actively deter and prevent them before they happen," he stated.

Sanusi cautioned those engaged in criminal activities that they should consider the FCT as an unwelcoming environment for their pursuits, as the command is steadfast in bringing all offenders to justice.

"Therefore, I urge you to abandon all unlawful activities, vacate the FCT, or be ready to face the full force of the law," he cautioned.

Additionally, CP Sanusi warned his officers that any form of indiscipline or unprofessional behavior will not be acceptable under his command.

He insisted that all personnel must interact respectfully with the public and maintain high professional standards in their duties.

The police commissioner called for collaboration from the residents of the FCT, highlighting that security is a collective responsibility and the police alone cannot achieve safety without public support.

He promised that under his leadership, the command would adopt an open-door policy, encouraging community members to share valuable information.

By fostering a strong partnership with residents, CP Sanusi aims to enhance the overall security landscape of the FCT.
