Television host Nick Cannon has ignited a heated conversation following his remarks about the U.S. Democratic Party on a recent episode of his show, 'Big Drive.' During the program, alongside Amber Rose, Cannon labeled the Democrats as the 'party of the KKK,' drawing attention to historical connections between the party and the Ku Klux Klan from earlier periods in American history.
Cannon acknowledged that the Republican Party, particularly under Abraham Lincoln, contributed to the abolition of slavery. However, he refrained from openly aligning with either political faction, expressing his discontent with the prevailing two-party system in the United States.
He referenced thoughts akin to those of W. E. B. Du Bois, who previously voiced skepticism regarding a political landscape dominated by two leading parties.
Identifying himself as an independent thinker, Cannon indicated that he does not plan to align himself strictly with either Democrats or Republicans. Still, he has expressed some favorable opinions about Donald Trump, suggesting an evolution from his earlier criticisms without formally associating with any political party.
