A Nigerian woman named Jennifer Blessing has expressed her disappointment after the realization that the best man at a wedding she attended was married. In a recent Facebook post dated March 23, she advised future couples to select single men for the role of best man so that chief bridesmaids might have opportunities to meet eligible partners.
Blessing shared her experience stemming from a wedding in 2023, where, in her expectation to connect with the best man, she was shocked to learn he was already in a marital relationship.
“Hmmm! At a time I thought that when I am the chief bridesmaid to a couple, that it will give me room to connect to the best man, not knowing that some best men are already married. Hei! Chimoo, please I suggest that the celebrants should always bring non-engaged best men so that we the chief bridesmaid and the ashabi will see husbands to marry,” she elaborated in her post.
She concluded her message with a hopeful note for those in similar situations, saying, “Is that clear? Please to those that are in the same shoe with me, God will connect you to your own best man in Jesus name Amen.”
