Paul Pogba, the former midfielder for Manchester United, has reportedly been omitted from Monaco's roster for the Champions League as the season heads into its latter stages.
The 32-year-old joined Monaco last June in hopes of reviving his career following an 18-month suspension due to doping.
However, Pogba faced multiple injury setbacks initially and struggled to reach his full fitness after not participating in any competitive matches for two years.
He made his return to the pitch on November 22, marking his first game in 811 days by coming off the bench during a 4-1 loss to Rennes. Following this, he also made brief appearances against PSG and Brest.
According to RMC Sport, Pogba has now been excluded from Monaco's Champions League squad for the second half of the season as he continues to manage ongoing fitness issues.
Monaco is set to face PSG in the knockout round playoffs later this month. Alongside Pogba, both Mohammed Salisu and Takumi Minamino have also been left out of the squad. UEFA regulations permit clubs to register three new players for the knockout stages.
