Police Detain Alleged Cult Member and Seize Firearm in Delta State

The Delta State Police have arrested a man, Michael Ayauze, on suspicion of cult involvement and recovered a firearm during a raid in the Ibusa area. Authorities are pursuing other individuals who fled the scene.

The police in Delta State have taken a suspected cultist, known as Michael Ayauze, into custody for his alleged participation in cult activities within the region.

Bright Edafe, the spokesperson for the police command, reported that Ayauze was captured by personnel from the Ibusa Police Division. Operating on reliable intelligence, the police conducted a raid on a suspected cult meeting at Anioma Garden, located in Ugboli Quarters of Ibusa. While Ayauze was apprehended, other attendees managed to escape when they saw the police arriving.

According to Edafe, initial investigations indicate that Ayauze is affiliated with the Supreme Vikings Confraternity.

During a search of Ayauze, the police recovered an English Beretta pistol, one live round of ammunition, and various charms.

The police spokesperson further indicated that measures are being taken to locate and apprehend the other suspects who managed to flee.
