FC Porto's manager, Francesco Farioli, has conveyed a message of assurance to the club's supporters regarding Nigerian forward Terem Moffi's goal-scoring potential. The coach expressed his belief that Moffi will deliver more goals for the team.

Farioli addressed the situation during his press conference on Saturday, ahead of Porto's upcoming league fixture against Estoril on Sunday. He appealed for patience and support for the Super Eagles player.

Moffi, who is currently on loan at Porto from French club Nice with an option for a permanent transfer in the summer, has managed to score two goals and provide one assist in 11 appearances for the Portuguese league leaders since joining in January.

The 26-year-old forward was notably involved in Porto's Europa League quarter- final first-leg match against Nottingham Forest, where he missed significant scoring chances. Following his substitution in the 60th minute of that game, he faced audible boos from the home crowd.

In the wake of this performance and fan reaction, Farioli reassured supporters that Moffi is on the right path to recovery and will be instrumental for the team during the crucial latter stages of the season.

"We understand that our fans are demanding, and that is a positive aspect. In the match against Nottingham, there was a moment of frustration, but he is giving his best and has been working hard in recent months," Farioli stated.

"He is progressing well, has already scored vital goals for us, and more are certainly on the way," he added.

The Italian coach emphasized that Moffi and his teammates will not be deterred by recent setbacks, despite the team facing potential elimination from both the Europa League and the Portuguese Cup.

"The frustration and emotions of the moment should remain confined to that moment; the FC Porto family must stand united and offer unwavering support to the team, demonstrating that all players are focused on achieving the best for FC Porto," Farioli concluded.
