On Saturday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu welcomed General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (retd.), a former Minister of Defence, at the Presidential Villa located in Abuja.
This meeting was revealed through a brief official statement that included photographs of the event.
The statement noted, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives in audience General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (Rtd) in the State House, Abuja, Saturday, February 28, 2026.”
As of the time this report was filed, the purpose behind the visit remains undisclosed.
General Danjuma held significant military and political positions, having served as the Chief of Army Staff during Olusegun Obasanjo's military regime and later as Minister of Defence in Obasanjo's civilian administration.
Currently, he is engaged in various business activities and is recognized for his charitable contributions through the TY Danjuma Foundation.
