The Seattle Seahawks have secured the Super Bowl LX championship, defeating the New England Patriots by a score of 29-13. This victory represents the second Super Bowl triumph for the Seahawks franchise.
Entering the contest as the favoured team, the Seahawks achieved their win at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The team's defence, a consistent performer throughout the season, was instrumental in the victory, forcing three turnovers from the Patriots, who struggled to score until the final quarter.
This latest championship follows the Seahawks' first Super Bowl win in 2014, where they triumphed over the Denver Broncos with a decisive 43-8 score in Super Bowl 48.
Following the Super Bowl LX game, running back Kenneth Walker III was honoured with the Most Valuable Player award. He is the first running back to achieve this distinction in 28 years, following Terrell Davis. Walker's performance included 135 rushing yards, a key offensive highlight of the championship game.
"It’s just a dream come true because a lot of people play their whole career and never make it this far," Walker commented after the game. "We went through adversity throughout the season, but we stayed together. You know that adversity showed who we were as a team. We got a brotherhood going on right now, and it’s special."
Additionally, kicker Jason Myers set a new Super Bowl record by successfully converting five field goals, marking one of the most remarkable kicking displays in the history of the championship game.
Coach Mike Macdonald expressed his team's resilience, stating, "We never waver, man. We believe in each other. We love each other, and now we’re world champions."
