The team led by Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President, has emerged victorious in three major competitions during the ongoing GTCO Lagos International Polo Tournament.
Among the prestigious trophies secured by the STL Polo team is the sought- after Majekodunmi Cup.
In an intense final match, the Seyi Tinubu-coached team overcame A1/Shoreline with a score of 10-7, clinching victory with a decisive goal scored in the last minute of play.
In addition to the Majekodunmi Cup, STL also claimed titles for the Independence Cup, Dapo Ojora Cup, Owen Cup, and the Argentine Ambassador’s Cup, showcasing a remarkable performance that energized their supporters and established Lagos as a formidable contender in Africa's premier polo tournament.
“It’s incredible. I find it hard to articulate my feelings after our first win, and this victory leaves me just as speechless,” remarked Yasin Amusan, captain of STL, immediately following the nail-biting final.
