U.S. President Donald Trump appears to be countering accusations of racism by sharing photographs with well-known Black celebrities, following criticism over a derogatory video featuring Barack and Michelle Obama.
The controversy erupted after Trump promoted an AI-generated video portraying the Obamas and other politicians as animals in a jungle context, which led to significant public outrage.
Instead of issuing an apology, Trump opted to post images with famous personalities such as Mike Tyson, Oprah Winfrey, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, and the late Michael Jackson.
On his social media platform, Trump commented, "How quickly people forget. So Sad! President DJT,” in relation to the backlash.
One of his posts included a TikTok video showing him interacting with Will Smith, kissing infants of color, embracing Winfrey, and socializing with Snoop Dogg.
This video bore the sarcastic title, "A Timeline of Trump's bigotry." Additionally, another video featured Trump alongside the late Michael Jackson, who was implicated in child molestation allegations before his passing, with a caption stressing Trump's loyalty to Jackson.
Below the post, Trump encouraged viewers to check out the video.
