Victor Osimhen, the striker for the Super Eagles and Galatasaray, has reportedly chosen to extend his hospital stay after having surgery on his arm.
The Nigerian international went under the knife last Monday morning after suffering an arm injury during a Champions League match against Liverpool earlier this month.
Although it was initially planned for him to be discharged the following day, Turkish journalist Haluk Yürekli has shared that Osimhen personally requested to remain under medical care.
Yürekli reported that Osimhen expressed to club officials his preference for continued treatment in the hospital, believing that it would facilitate a quicker recovery. His request was accepted, and it has been noted that there was heightened security around his hospital room during this time.
"He did not want to be discharged immediately and asked for his care to continue in hospital so he could return sooner," Yürekli mentioned, adding that even close family members had limited access during his recovery period.
