Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has stated that he believes Victor Osimhen would be a significant asset and highly successful in the Premier League. Hamann expressed surprise that the Nigerian international currently doesn't play in England, asserting that Osimhen's dynamic playing style is ideally suited for the Premier League.
"Osimhen is an extraordinary player. The reason Galatasaray is performing so well in the league is probably because of Osimhen. I enjoy watching him," Hamann told Metro. He further added, "I think if he played in the Premier League, he would significantly strengthen the team he plays for."
Hamann also suggested that Newcastle United could be a potential destination for the forward. He noted that while Liverpool likely has sufficient players in Osimhen's position, Newcastle might find him a suitable recruit. "Liverpool already has two players in that position, so nothing will happen there for Osimhen. However, he has pace, power, and clinical finishing. If Newcastle United sells Nick Woltemade, Osimhen could be a perfect fit for them," Hamann concluded.
