Authorities in Adamawa State have taken into custody two individuals suspected of being involved in the fatal stabbing of Daniel Samuel, a 22-year-old resident of Michika town, located in the Michika Local Government Area. The arrested suspects have been identified as Dakiyar Tumba, aged 23, and Sini Luka, aged 31, both of whom also reside in Michika.
According to reports from witnesses, the deceased, Daniel Samuel, managed to reach the Divisional Police Headquarters in Michika with visible signs of bleeding before being transported to a local hospital. Sadly, he passed away from the injuries sustained during the alleged assault.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident and stated that the command acted swiftly upon receiving the report. He detailed that on April 12, 2026, Daniel Samuel arrived at the Michika Divisional Police Headquarters, reporting that Dakiyar Tumba and Sini Luka had attacked and stabbed him on the back.
Nguroje further explained that police operatives immediately conveyed the victim to a hospital in an effort to save his life. However, a medical doctor pronounced him dead shortly after.
The police have stated that the body has been moved to the morgue for an autopsy. The alleged murder weapon, a knife, has been recovered and secured as evidence. The state's Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, has strongly condemned the act and has instructed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
