The spokesperson for the Kwankwasiyya movement, Captain Mansur Kurugu, has rejected reports suggesting that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), was taken abroad for medical assistance.
Kwankwaso's recent trip had sparked rumors on social media regarding his health, prompting concerns among his followers.
In response to these speculations regarding the purpose of the journey, Kurugu clarified that the senator left Nigeria on Thursday for personal reasons, not for health-related matters.
"Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso departs Nigeria for personal reasons. It is not for medical tourism or any health-related reason," he stated.
Additionally, a media aide to Kwankwaso, Saifullahi Hassan, also dismissed the notion of a health-related trip, labeling it as misinformation propagated by political adversaries.
Hassan pointed out that Kwankwaso had visited Singer Market in Kano on Thursday morning to empathize with traders affected by a recent fire incident that resulted in substantial losses of goods and property.
