Rapper iHeartMemphis, legally known as Richard Maurice Colbert, has once again been taken into custody, facing a slate of charges that include burglary and fleeing from police officers. The arrest occurred on February 18, a mere few days after his release concerning a prior incident involving alleged threats and interference with law enforcement.

Reports indicate that authorities were dispatched to Colbert's neighbourhood in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, following accusations that he had obstructed a public road. The obstruction reportedly involved the use of traffic cones, vegetation, and cinder blocks. According to the police statement, Colbert allegedly refused to remove the impediments and attempted to evade officers when confronted.

The rapper is accused of absconding from law enforcement personnel, scaling fences, entering private backyards, and trying to gain access to several residences before he was apprehended at a neighbouring property. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for a leg injury sustained during the incident before being formally booked.

Colbert is currently facing three felony counts for burglary, in addition to misdemeanour charges for obstructing a public roadway and resisting arrest without violence. An additional charge pertains to earlier alleged written threats to cause harm.

Colbert has entered a plea of not guilty to all charges and has indicated his intention to seek a trial. He remains detained and is slated to make a court appearance on April 14.
