A Sharia Court No. 2 located at Shahuchi in the Kano Municipal Local Government Area has mandated the remand of Abdurrahman Hamisu Rijiyar Fulani based on accusations of utilizing excessive force and causing significant injuries to Malam Dandada Musa.
The defendant was presented before the state counsel and faced charges read by the court registrar on two counts.
The prosecution claimed that during an altercation, the accused assaulted the victim with a knife, leading to severe bodily harm.
Currently, the victim is undergoing medical treatment in a hospital as a result of the incident.
The defendant entered a guilty plea concerning the charges.
Judge Salihu Jaafar, presiding over the case, has ordered the accused to remain in a correctional facility while awaiting further proceedings.
The court adjourned the case to allow for a review of the victim's medical condition and recovery before making a final ruling on the matter.
