Bayern Munich's head coach Vincent Kompany has indicated that midfielder Jamal Musiala is on track to make his return following a six-month absence due to injury. This exciting news comes in advance of Saturday’s Bundesliga fixture against RB Leipzig.
During a press conference on Friday, Kompany noted that Musiala would be part of the squad, pending a successful training session.
The 22-year-old athlete suffered a leg fracture during a match against Paris Saint-Germain at the Club World Cup back in July and has been recovering since, with his return to team training taking place in December.
In addition, Bayern may also see the return of German national team captain Joshua Kimmich and Canadian captain Alphonso Davies, who are both recovering from injuries. Musiala, who joined Bayern in 2019 from Chelsea, has made a significant impact at the club, netting 64 goals and providing 39 assists across 207 appearances while helping the team secure five Bundesliga titles and a Champions League trophy.
