Nasarawa State Government Official Passes Away in Office

The Head of Operations for the Nasarawa State Operations Coordinating Unit (SOCU), Yakubu Akuki Ogalebe, has passed away.

Mr. Ogalebe, who previously served as the Sole Administrator of the Agwada Area Administrative Council, died on the afternoon of March 27, 2026, after falling unconscious in his office located in Lafia.

The Nasarawa State Operations Coordinating Unit (SOCU) was formed in 2016 with the aim of establishing a trustworthy Single Register (SSR) for impoverished and vulnerable households.
