Korede Bello has made a comeback with 'Another One', a six-song extended play aimed at answering questions about his standing in Nigeria's dynamic pop landscape. The project, released on April 10th under ONErpm, marks another step in Bello's career following his departure from Mavin Records, the label that initially propelled his rise.

Bello, known for hits like 'Godwin' and his debut album 'Belloved', has since charted a more independent course with releases such as 'Koreday' (2024) and 'M3GA Vibrations' (2025). 'Another One' presents a collection of sensual, rhythm-focused tracks drawing from Afrobeats and Afropop, with subtle reggae influences. The EP, entirely produced by Danny Drey, YANI, and Only One Josh, features no guest artists.

The EP kicks off with the title track, 'Another One', establishing a confident tone with its chant-heavy chorus and themes of wealth and desirability, though its lyrical content is somewhat sparse. It's an engaging and danceable song, yet feels grounded in familiar territory.

Following this is 'High Me', a track infused with a reggae beat that emphasizes physical attraction and club appeal. This song is arguably the EP's most club-ready, characterized by its percussion and Bello's smooth vocal delivery.

'On Stylish' shifts to a gentler tempo, offering a lighthearted tribute to feminine charm, where minimalist production allows Bello's vocals to take center stage. The track 'Sweet Melody' revisits Bello's signature romantic song style.

'Not Romantic', a brief piece under two minutes, plays with irony by referencing common perceptions of emotional expression before returning to a standard romantic pursuit narrative. It functions more as an interlude than a complete musical statement.

The closing track, 'Feel', offers a moment of relative introspection compared to the rest of the EP.

Bello's vocal talent remains evident, delivering controlled and expressive performances that are instantly recognizable. The EP contributes to the vibrant Afrobeats sound currently popular in the music scene.

'Another One' focuses on themes of love, sensuality, confidence, and positivity, making it easily digestible and suitable for playlists. Tracks like 'Another One' and 'High Me' are designed for repeated listening.

However, the EP's consistency, while a strength, also leads to its main limitation. Much of the material on 'Another One' treads familiar ground. Compared to Bello's earlier works, this project feels more like a polished rendition of existing formulas rather than a significant artistic evolution, largely avoiding experimentation.

For fans who have followed Korede Bello's career, 'Another One' offers an enjoyable return to his established style. For those seeking a demonstration of artistic growth and change, the EP might feel like a repetition of past sounds.
