Armed Gang Aligned with Bello Turji Strikes Sokoto Community, Resulting in Seven Fatalities (video)

On Wednesday, a heavily armed faction loyal to the infamous criminal Bello Turji launched a significant assault on the Kyara community located in the Sabon-Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The assailants, reportedly in the hundreds, killed seven local residents, inflicted injuries on two more, and stole a considerable amount of livestock, leaving the community reeling in terror and destruction.

Bakatsine, a journalist who specializes in conflict and crisis reporting, verified the attack on Thursday.

This attack occurred just one day following another raid by Turji's group in Gajit village, where they not only shot at individuals but also kidnapped no fewer than 20 locals.

“Considering the ongoing and intensifying frequency of these assaults throughout Sokoto State, what proactive and intelligence-led actions are security forces undertaking to avert additional attacks, disband these militant factions, and ensure the continuous safeguarding of at-risk rural communities?” the journalist remarked.
