Initial reports indicate that one individual suffered injuries and was hospitalized following the incident, and a household was entirely consumed by the flames.

Eyewitnesses and affected individuals, amidst their grief, shared their experiences and urgently called for humanitarian support. Sources indicate that the fire also claimed livestock and numerous bags of crucial food supplies, further exacerbating the hardships faced by affected families.

The executive secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA), Dr. Mohammed Goje, confirmed the fire incident. He mentioned that a team from the agency had conducted evaluations on-site and interviewed victims directly to determine the extent of the destruction.
