The body of Abdullahi Mohammed, a man who had been reported missing from Kopgai village in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, has been located by security forces.
Reports indicate that Mohammed's remains were unearthed from a shallow grave situated along the Gimti River, which lies between the Kopgai and Langai districts, at approximately 11:00 a.m. on March 25, 2026.
Following the recovery, the body was returned to his family to ensure he receives a proper burial in line with Islamic traditions. Ongoing investigations are focused on uncovering the details surrounding this tragic event.
In response to the increasing criminal activities in the region, the troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) are intensifying their efforts to enhance security and protection for local communities.
