The Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) has initiated a three- day prayer event for the members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Kaduna, who were taken hostage by kidnappers during their service on Sunday.

Last Sunday, more than 100 church members were captured in the Iburu District of Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, during an assault on two of the church's branches by armed bandits.

In response to the tragic event, Elder Israel Akinadewo, the Regional President of OAIC, called for a three-day prayer session by the bloc for the safe return of the kidnapped individuals.

Akinadewo stated in his announcement, "Let us begin a three-day prayer starting today (Thursday) until Saturday, culminating in a special altar prayer on Sunday, asking for divine intervention in this situation. Our God listens to prayers, and it is our obligation to seek His assistance [Jeremiah 33:3]. May the Lord bless us as we intercede on behalf of our fellow believers."
