Sean 'Diddy' Combs is set to be released from prison earlier than previously anticipated.
The 56-year-old hip hop icon was originally scheduled to be freed on June 4, 2028, but his release date has now been advanced to April 25, 2028, according to reports from Page Six.
This development occurs amidst his ongoing fight to appeal his four-year sentence stemming from charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
The shift in his release date follows his acceptance into a drug rehabilitation program in November, which has paved the way for a reduced prison term.
This is not the first time that Combs' release timeline has fluctuated.
Currently incarcerated at Fort Dix in New Jersey, he previously saw his release delayed from May 8 to June 4, 2028, after experiencing a challenging start to his sentence in late 2025, marked by allegations of consuming moonshine and making an unauthorized three-way call.
Since being transferred to the New Jersey facility on October 30, Combs reportedly faced several disciplinary issues.
Sources have indicated that he was caught drinking a mixture of fermented Fanta, sugar, and apples, although his representatives have since denied these allegations.
A statement released on the Bad Boy Entertainment founder’s X account dismissed the claims, asserting, "The rumors claiming Mr. Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false."
It further emphasized, "His only focus is becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family."
