Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke has opened up about an embarrassing injury she endured while shooting a daring scene for her latest risqué series. The star reported that she broke a rib during an intense segment for the new Peacock series titled Ponies, in which she portrays undercover agent Bea.

This role marks her return to provocative performances reminiscent of her time as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, where she shared several scenes with Jason Momoa’s character. Clarke recently reunited with Momoa, fifteen years after the premiere of the fantasy series.

At 39 years old, Clarke shared: “I broke a rib that day… three men, in a number of hours.” She elaborated on the filming process that involved multiple takes, stating: “Just keep bringing it. I’m going to sit on this thing, you’re going to bring them in, we’re going to pretend to have s3x.”

She recounted an uncomfortable moment with her physician during her visit to address the injury, joking: “S3x! Times three!”

In this new series, Clarke plays the wife of a CIA agent from the Cold War era who meets a mysterious fate. Her character undertakes a journey to Russia, continuing her husband's espionage work and unveiling the truth, which includes seducing a prominent KGB agent while developing feelings for another asset.

Clarke has successfully transitioned into film, featuring in projects like Terminator Genisys and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Despite her ties to the fantasy genre, the British actress has indicated that returning to dragon- related roles is unlikely. “You’re highly unlikely to see me get on a dragon, or even in the same frame as a dragon, ever again,” she stated previously.

Additionally, she was honored with an MBE last year for founding SameYou, a charity that aids in brain injury recovery, following her own life-threatening brain hemorrhage in 2011.
