United States President Donald Trump has issued a dire warning concerning the fate of an entire civilization, posting on Truth Social early Tuesday morning, April 7. This latest strong statement targets the Iranian regime as a crucial deadline for reopening the Strait of Hormuz approaches, set to expire at 8 p.m.
Trump declared that "Tuesday night may well be ‘one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World,’" according to his post.
He further stated, "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?"
These increasingly grave pronouncements from the President follow his suggestions of potential strikes targeting bridges, desalination plants, and energy infrastructure. Such actions, if deliberately aimed at civilian facilities, could potentially be classified as war crimes.
Reports indicate that Pentagon war planners are reviewing a list of energy sites for potential targeting. This review includes sites that supply fuel for both civilian and military use, possibly as a strategy to circumvent accusations of war crimes.
Iran effectively halted passage through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping route for approximately 20 percent of the world's oil, shortly after the Pentagon initiated strikes against the country in February, in a collaborative effort with Israel.
The President is now reportedly linking the conclusion of the conflict to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
